I have visited Jos in Nigeria. It’s a lovely place. It has a fine University. Now it is better known for the slaughter of five hundred Christians in retaliation for the death of three hundred Muslims in January.

Religious wars always were and always will be among the most vicious. The concept of “one true God” seems to lead inevitably to genocide.
