The Right To Know.
The Justice Secretary is right to keep the details of the crimes of the child murderer Jon Venables secret. He needs a fair trial. So does Society – so that he stays locked up for ever if he really is commiting major criminal acts.
The newspapers seem to believe that they have the right to publish whatever they want. In my book, a fair trial ranks above the so-called public right to know.
